ABOUT MICHAEL BUKAY

Hello! I'm Mike Bukay, founder of Michael Bukay & Associates. Much of my career has been spent as a consultant/troubleshooter/instructor in the field of high purity industrial water treatment. During this time I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients including IBM, Intel, Electric Power Research Institute, Genentech, Hewlett Packard, Advanced Micro Devices, and many others. These experiences provide me with a solid foundation for the operation and maintenance requirements, and training needs, for process-critical industrial equipment.

After 18 years of consulting work, I decided to follow my passion to make movies. I took classes and started making movies. Now, we produce a wide variety of videos. Many are available for viewing in the portfolio section. I love the work! One thing that amazes me is how little sleep I need when engaged in the passion of making a movie!

One area of specialization goes back to my roots in industry. As a trainer, I have noticed that many kinesthetic and visual learners have trouble following complicated written Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) instructions. Their work and efficiency is greatly facilitated by showing them how to perform procedures. To fill this need, I started producing web SOP videos that can be streamed to a laptop from the company's network and watched by technicians as they perform their maintenance and calibration tasks. We are always up to the challenge of meeting the customers creative needs. My team consists of members of the Professional Videographers of the North Bay. I am a Steering Committee member of the organization and frequently subcontract other professional members to complement my skills, equipment, and services on a project-by-project basis. This way Michael Bukay & Associates can reduce overhead costs while producing high quality professional videos that are cost-effective.

I also serve as New Media Chair on the Board of Directors for the Silicon Valley Chapter 39 of the Association of Facilities Engineering. AFE's mission is to provide education, certification, technical information and other relevant resources to plant and facility engineering, operation and maintenance.
